Valley Vetcare is set up for both routine care and urgent problems (emergency veterinary services are listed), with reviews repeatedly describing longer, unrushed appointments and a focus on keeping pets calm. Owners give concrete examples such as staff using treats and distraction during injections for a large dog, and vets helping nervous cats feel settled during vaccinations and checks. The practice is also mentioned for compassionate end-of-life support, including a condolence card and returning ashes alongside keepsakes (paw prints and a small vial of fur). Pricing comes up in mixed terms: one reviewer found vaccinations “quite high” versus a previous vet, while others say the monthly plans are “great value for money.”

I was with another vet and I have a large weimarana and they was always very afraid of his size and made it uncomfortable for me and my dog I joined the valley vet this year and have been for his injections and a check up and I must say it was such a pleasure. As soon as we got there they came out and got to know my dog. They had some treats and kept him distracted while another vet did his injections and the check up on him and it was such a calming experience. I am so glad we have joined this vets. They show love and care towards the animals and make us as owner feel at ease. The staff are amazing and I can’t thank them enough

Cannot praise these guys enough. They go above and beyond for you and your fur babies. I have 3 cats registered there on the plan and they take such good care of them. I know they genuinely care about animals and they are not like other vets, who just rush you through appointments. These guys take their time and are really friendly. I have recommended them to friends and family who have now registered their cats there and they have been so impressed too.

I can’t recommend this vet practice highly enough. Ted is often in the vets, and every single member of staff has been nothing short of amazing. Vince, Richard, and Helen have always gone above and beyond for us, and more recently we’ve been seen by Sarah, who is equally fantastic. Nothing is ever too big or too small for them – they always bend over backwards to make sure your pet gets the very best care. The monthly plans are also great value for money, and I wouldn’t choose to take Ted anywhere else. Outstanding team and outstanding care.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We visited the vets yesterday and had a great experience! Sarah, the vet we saw, was fantastic – very professional, helpful, and informative. She was so friendly with both me and my dog, Betsy, and gave us great advice. Sarah made sure Betsy felt comfortable and reassured throughout the appointment. The reception staff were so friendly and made us feel at ease. It was such a positive visit, and I’d highly recommend this practice to anyone!

We lost our lovely family dog this month and Valley Vetcare honestly made the whole thing much more bearable. I was present when my dad had a call from the vet and she was so kind and sympathetic. They sent us a card of condolences which was just so lovely. We got his collar and ashes back in a timely manner and they also gave us some paw prints and little vials of his fur. I am welling up as I write this. Thank you for making a really hard time just that bit easier for our family!

I took Norman my 10 year old German Spritz to valley vet care on the recommendation of a few people after a very unpleasant and alarming experience with another vets. The experience i have had with valley vet care has been second to none. The receptionists, the nurses and Vince the vet are nothing short of amazing. Vets tend to have a reputation for trying to squeeze as much money out of people as they can but Valley vet care does every but that. This is a vets that genuinely do just care for the wellbeing of animals and i am so greatful to the whole team for their service.

My 3 dogs have been under the care of the brilliant Team at Valley vetcare for the last 6 1/2 years. My dogs have attended for different reasons over time and the team including the receptionist, nurses and vets have all been fantastic in their care and approach to each concern presented. Nothing is too much trouble even if you are just ringing up with a query or for advice. My labrador Bliss who is 12 years old has had a few conditions over the last 2 years and has predominantly been seen by Vince for these which has been a great help with the continuity of her care and treatment. However on the other occasions when my dogs have seen the other vets they too have been very caring, knowledgeable and empathic towards my dogs and myself. I've recently attended with Bliss as she had become unwell. Due to the intervention she has been through over the last few years she can be a little unsettled though the staff are always brilliant with her and make her feel very special with lots of fusses and attention. Once again the treatment recieved by the team and Vince and Emma has been fantastic with a solid plan in place. I can't praise and thank the team enough. The practice itself is pleasant and a very clean environment. Staff seem happy in their roles and very efficient when dealing with clients. Big Thanks to the team! You do a great job taking care of our fur babies. Theresa

Cannot give an accurate review of the practice on the whole as I've only visited for vaccinations and pricing is quite high compared to previous vets I have been with in Wales - but does seem average for the area, however, my 5 star review is for the experience I had with the vet Emma King who was absolutely lovely, and very good with my nervous cats, she also made a recommendation which has calmed my cat Wotsit's sore gums down in a matter of days, something I've been trying and failing to do for years so please pass along my thanks she is a credit to your team 😊 the reception team were also lovely and friendly in my brief experience at this vets. Hopefully I won't have too much experience here beyond routine checks but the experience I did have this time was very positive.
