Crown House Vets is a general small-animal practice offering routine care (wellness screenings, vaccinations and pet nutrition guidance) and emergency care. Recent reviews describe the clinic making room for urgent problems the same day (for example, a cat with blood in urine being “squeezed in” at the end of the day), and staff taking specific steps to reduce stress for anxious pets (including offering a calming aromatherapy spray while waiting). Pricing comes through as mixed: one owner paid £105 for a consultation plus medications and felt it was good value, while another reports being charged £435 for euthanasia and cremation and says the cost wasn’t made clear upfront.

I had a really good experience here, I rang in the morning about my cat peeing blood and they squeezed me in at the end of the day. The reception girls were all really friendly and compassionate when I rang and arrived. The vet (Anna) was lovely she was very calming for both me and my boy. The main thing I am surprised about is the value compared to what I expected to pay. It was £105 for both medications and the consultation which I expected to be around £200-250. I’m really happy I went back here (I went a couple times when I first got this cat about 5 years ago - I lived close to there then) even if it’s a bit further from my new address it’s worth knowing you’re seeing people who genuinely care about your animals and don’t overcharge you just because they could.

Always have such a great experience here they are so great with my cats. Had my cat in because he couldn’t eat or drink and the girl who was looking after my Bellatrix went above and beyond for him and I couldn’t recommend this place enough they treated him so well and now my kitty is on the mend!

My elderly, disabled parent had to have his 21-year old cat euthanised yesterday and I am shocked to hear today that he was charged £435 for the euthanasia and cremation! At no point was he clearly made aware of this cost prior to bringing the cat into the vets surgery. After speaking to other practices this morning I've found that the costs are much cheaper elsewhere and I feel that my father has been ripped off. Though the staff were polite, the communication around pricing was not clear and upfront. My parent felt vulnerable and overwhelmed and final bill was a painful surprise. I strongly urge this practice to improve their transparency around fees, especially when dealing with elderly or disabled clients to may struggle to question or process costs in the moment. Compassion isn't just about care - its also clear communication. Unfortunately, we didn't feel that here. It's no wonder the veterinary industry is under such scrutiny these days with fees like this! Do better!!!

Just great to be put at ease, which isn't easy when your pet is not well. Treated our pet like it was there own (loved that). Plenty of advice on our questions. Now back home with his sisters.

Crown house vets really are very good. I have a very scared and anxiety ridden little dog when it comes to the vets. The reception staff are lovely and kind with her. We got some calming aromatherapy spray for her to ease her worry ehilst we waited for our appointment. The vet nurse we saw was patient, kind and gentle. It makes such a difference to the whole experience when people are kind. I have never had a problem or complaint about yhe care shown to my dogs from this vets. Everyone is knowledgeable and dies their absolute best . A great practice with lovely caring staff. Very clean and welcoming too. Can't fault them .

Both vets Gary and the male who works Thursday /Fridays. Feb 2025. Both were very knowledgeable and I was impressed how Both individuals handled my pets Bella and Skye. I was informed of their condition, possible causes and treatment options. Relaxed waiting room and immaculately cleaned. Personalised treatment from both vets. Reasonable charges.
